Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Santa Pup is on the job spreading cheer. It's my first Christmas and so far I like it. Today I put on this fancy new outfit that my mom sewed for me and visited her office. Everyone there thought I was the cutest dog ever! After that I went to Petsmart and got treats and a new squeaky toy. Tonight I am just hanging out at home with mom and dad, playing with wrapping paper and trying to eat the huge biscuit that Aunt Nancy got me for Christmas. I love presents!

Pumpkin Cutie Pie

Here I am on my first Halloween. My mom made this pumpkin outfit for me and said I needed to hold still so she could take my picture. I don't think she understands I'm a very busy dog and don't have time for a photo shoot. She nearly went crazy before she got one lucky shot.
I don't know any tricks yet, unless you count getting out of this costume all by myself, but I still got a treat anyway. I think I love Halloween! I just hope I have a different costume next year.

Fixed?!?! I wasn't broken!
My mom says I did great at the vet. The tooth fairy only left two teeth behind and now they are gone. I even have something called a microchip inside me now. It's supposed to help me get home if I ever get lost and it makes me feel very high tech.
For the next 10 days I will be taking it easy. No running, no long walks in the park and no zoomies. It seems like I'm not allowed to have any fun at all. That's OK, I am making sure I get spoiled rotten indoors. If I have to take it easy, I am doing it on sombody's lap and getting my ears scratched.

Sit! Lay Down! Good Boy!
I learn something new every day. I know what 'Sit' means and I've been practicing every day for the last few weeks. This week I am learning something called 'Lay Down' and it's not as easy as it looks. I just have too much energy to stay in one place for very long but tonight I did it and here's the picture to prove it! It's going to take a lot more practice but as long as there are puppy treats I am ready for anything.

Saturday Walks
Today I went on an adventure. It all started when dad said, "Do you wanna go bye bye in the car?" I wasn't too sure about that since so far the only place we have gone in the car ends with me getting a shot. This time we went someplace new. I wore my harness and leash and when we got out there was a trail that went along the road. There were pine trees and grass to sniff and even this funny wooden trail that went out over the water. My mommy picked me up to show me the fish and then she said, "Smile pretty!" Look at me, Mr. Handsome Dog! We went for a pretty long walk and I followed behind mom and dad like a perfect gentleman. After a while mom had to pick me up and carry me part of the way because I got too tired. When we got back to the car there was a nice cool bowl of water waiting for me. And now that I'm home I think I'll take a little nap. All this adventure is exhausting.Thursday, September 25, 2008

Tooth Fairy Where Are You?
Dear Tooth Fairy,
Mom says I need to lose as many baby teeth as possible in the next three weeks. Last week was a pretty good week: I lost four! I'm not exactly sure what's happening a few weeks from now. I heard mom and dad talking about me going to the vet for a 'spa day.' Mom said I am going to take a nap and wake up without any more baby teeth and something else I'll never miss, whatever that means. For now I am just enjoying all the tasty treats you left under my pillow. Keep it up, Tooth Fairy. I am sure I'll have another surprise for you any day now.
Love,
Fezzik

Finding My Voice
When I said I am a quiet little guy, I wasn't kidding. I don't bark. Maybe I get a little whiny when I have to go outside, but that's it. Last night my daddy brought me up onto his bed and we were playing with my bone. I don't know if I should say "we" were playing with it because he seemed to have the toy more than I did. Anyway, I was running back and forth trying to get my toy back when this strange noise started. Everybody stopped and got quiet. I looked around to see if someone sat on a squeaky toy and then I realized that sound was ME! I found my voice! I might test it out again soon but most of the time I'll still be the quiet little cutie. So for all the girls who like the strong silent type, send me a message!

Look At Those Ears
Hello, world! My name is Fezzik and this is my Dlog. Everywhere I go the first thing I hear is, "Look at those ears!" Yes, I know, they're huge and it will probably take me a while to grow into them. People seem to have lots of ideas for different names for me: Dumbo, Gizmo, Radar, Batwing. Get over it. My name is Fezzik, like the character played by Andre the Giant in the movie The Princess Bride. I may be only three and a half pounds but I've got a giant personality. You will be hearing more from me soon.
