It is so relaxing to sleep in the sun, especially if Mom lets me use her as a pillow. There are so many interesting scents in the fresh ocean breeze. I'm a romantic: I like long walks on the beach and picking up shells. That being said...

I HATE THE OCEAN!
It's cold and noisy and sneaks up on me when I'm not looking. Mom put me in a life jacket and took me into the surf to get my paws wet. I don't care how funny she thinks it is to watch my legs keep swimming even after she lifts me out of the water. I made sure she understood I was never doing that again. All four paws are staying on dry land.
